Cats -illustration friday
Our cat, Dante, thinks that we are furniture and we tend to comply. A few months ago, I saw R sleeping in the sun on the back porch. Dante was in his lap thinking. He glared at me a few times as I drew but mostly ignored me.

thanks everyone. I think I still need to work on the background but happy with cat and boyfriend -the fur was fun it really didn't 'pull togather' until I used the burn tool as a brush.
Great illo and must say that your cat is soooooo big. And I agree with you cat that humans are to comfort their lifes .....
Great work, I think you have captured nicely the moment. Dante seems to share the common thought of cats, thinking that we humans are furniture.
I really like this a lot. I definitely like the more finished one beter, though both are interesting and evocative of living with a cat. Mary :-)

I love how cats take it forgranted that everything they see is theirs, and we belong to them. *G* Great illustration!
And people wonder why I hate cats? They don't just see you as furniture, they see you as lunch. You can't tell me that they don't just sit there and dream that if they were only bigger? Honestly, I'll scream the next time some one tells me a shark is a perfect killing machine, make a cat adaptable to water and they would take sharks every time. But, that is a great pic, I like the contrast in detail from the cat to the background, it focuses the attention really well.
What a great illustration! The look on J's face and the wonderful furry size of Dante make me want to grab one of my cats and take a nap! Well done:>
